Yea i did just hit the undertray, i have cleaned up the hole already. I drained the oil got some shaving outs and with syringe i used to clean it a bit better. Ill be pulling the motor this weekend, to be secure that it was done properly. So i can have piece of mind when motor is running.
Well to be clear, if you only hit the windage tray, you're okay.
If you did puncture the oil pickup, and you do pull the engine, do as others have said and have a -AN fitting welded on.

You are fine. We always dump the oil, drill, flush with mineral spirits, pour some of the old oil back through the engine with the drain unplugged still, and then put fresh oil/filter on.

well im screwed, i rinse and finish installing all the bandaid. Turn the motor on and first sounded like HLA's tick but after getting it fully warmed turned off i shut it off and noticed i had no oil pressure
So you let it warm up with no oil pressure the entire time? How did you warm it up, but looking at the coolant gauge? AKA: how long in minutes with no oil pressure?
no oilpressure aftur u shut it offf or before engine it was wen running
If you let it warm up without oil pressure, I'm not going to say it's a healthy thing. Next time pay attention to that...

3mi 12sec before shut off, i was so confident that i didnt damage the tube. I took measurements to get exact location where i drilled. Then i went to our local miata parts sale guy a spec driver whos a huge rip off. I went to pick up misc interior parts and oil pan i compared the dimension where i tapped the pan. I was off i did hit the undertray for a fact but the pick up tube it was no where near the bung i placed.
The only other option is that the shavings from drilling through the windage tray got up into the oil pump relief valve and stuck it open. I've seen that happen. Either way, you're pulling and probably replacing the motor.

First off I will never drill or tap anything with it on the engine. Secondly, the very first thing I would have look at when the engine was started was oil pressure. Sorry if this seems harsh, but dude use your head.
I hope your engine is okay
