Turbo kit for road racing

Turbo kit for road racing
Hey all, 1st post. I recently acquired a partially built 1997 1.8 Super Miata. I was told the engine was built by Track Speed in 2014 but from their web site it does not look like they do engines. This previous owner did everything but the turbo kit. Car has full body work, wing, ECU, 6 speed and Torsen 1.8 diff as well as suspension.
I am looking to install a turbo kit but it looks like a lot of stuff is just not available now. This car will be used for road racing and endurance so it has to be right. Track Speed does not have anything currently available so what are my options?
I am looking for a system to provide around 200 RWHP to fit into the NASA ST class structure. I have over 20 years of road race experience, some of it in Spec Miata.
I have driven this car on track and it is awesome. It is very fast in the corners and pull good on the straights. It is currently 130 RWHP and compression is around 140 on each cylinder so it appears that the build was set for a turbo. Hopefully I can post some pics here soon. Just short on time right now.
Thank you in advance for any help!

Welcome!
There really isn't an OTS "kit" for what you need at the moment. The MKturbo kit is a good street package, but not intended for the track.
Since the disappearance of the Trackspeed manifolds, many of us have been going with the Kraken setup (cast manifold and downpipe). I won't be installing mine until next summer (looking at NASA TT4), but it's on the shelf, ready to go. You're kind of on your own to piece the rest of it together, though. Not too difficult... lots of information here, so search and read.

There never has really been a "track ready" turbo kit out there. Trackspeed was close, but required the end user do their own intercooler setup. As mentioned above, Kraken manifolds are the go to for a robust cast manifold. IIRC their castings have a higher nickel content which improves the (for lack of better term) thermal stability of the manifold when compared to a "regular" cast manifold like Flying Miata. I saw a post from Kraken where their foundry is increasing prices again soon, so don't wait too long to get on the wait list.

@EO2K may have what you want if you're fine with used. ARTech manifold, efr things.
Send me a PM and we can discuss. EFR 6258, ARTech manifold, 3" DP, Treadstone TR8 IC, ID1k injectors, Fuelab regulator, etc. etc. etc.
Then what is @Oil Leak going to buy for the MSM?
I'd rather see this stuff get used rather than continue to sit in my garage. I also like money.

It's a fairly sizeable pile of parts.
Not shown are the thermostat neck on the front of the block was cut off and then modified to accept a -6AN for turbo coolant feed, and the water pump inlet was modified with a -6AN for turbo coolant return. Those will go with the turbo and coolant lines as well. Obviously you'll have to eliminate the factory oil cooler/preheater circuit and run a reroute, neither of which are a terrible idea on a dedicated track car (potentially eliminate several points of failure by removing cooler and potentially increase engine longevity with reroute.) The Fuelab FPR will work with the NA fuel system (I replumbed my NB to match the NA return style system) but the hard lines attach differently between the NA and NB so you'll have to sort that out. The included DW200 pump and ID1000 injectors should be good to WELL beyond your power goals, and the EFR 6258 should still retain excellent response at the 200hp mark. My intercooler mounting scheme was kinda NB specific, but figuring out how to mount an intercooler is not the end of the world. Intercooler might actually be a bit overkill for your needs, if I'm honest.
Just figured I'd get that out there. Feel free to PM me with questions.
