If you buy parts off the shelf, 300whp will cost you 10k. Stop looking on eBay for turbo parts, start looking through build threads from me, hustler, shuiend, anyone with an absurdflow kit.

A 180whp miata is subaru sti fast. 300whp is C6Z06 territory. 200whp will shut your friends up in a hurry, and its a lot cheaper to do 200 reliably.

310s and an fmu, nice. You'll struggle to break 200whp safely on that. In fact, since you have no timing control, you'll just grenade it at 160 or so.

Stop buying crap parts and search. This forum and its members are highly, highly knowledgeable, but if you"re going to ignore our advice then you won't last long.

Savington you're probably right he told I wouldnt make 300whp with his kit so eventually I would have to get bigger injectors, stand alone ecu and a nice tune maybe even a bigger turbo but I will have fun with his kit it made over 200whp as is. But like they say go big or go home so I'm gonna put together a nice setup over time I guess!

A ebay seller that speaks english and is honest? Somethings screwed up here. Look through the ebay sticky and you'll find what you're looking for.. or not looking for.

They say that to people with experience. To a noob like you (no offense my first standalone turbo car too) I would recommend starting low...maybe 6 psi. Tunning that. Getting used to it etc and then start turning up the boost once you and the car is perfect at low boost. You can brake an engine at 6psi too but its safer than starting with a goal of 300hp and no experience/knowledge.

Off the topic, but a 180whp Miata is hardly an STI territory with the right driver and neither is a 300whp is C6Z06 territory again with the same drivers. Posts like these really explain why every other Civic, Sentra and more of the same bunch always want to race my Z06 on the street.

No, he just waited 4 years to say it.

And I agree. A 180HP Miata is fast, but you still won't be beating the pants off of the turbo Carreras.

Find power to weight ratio with simple division and find list of cars arranged by power to weight to compare to.

He didn't say which Lambo. It would certainly be faster than a Miura.

I read that you can design a special manifold for a Miata and it will sound exactly like a Subaru boxer motor... something about the resonances.

It's quite easy- just turn it off.

(You see what I did there? I'm making fun of the poor reliability of the Countach by indirectly asserting that they make no sound at all because they never run. I am so very clever.)
