So I'm looking at the sheet and verified the measurements...

and then I look at the disks sitting in their rings...

but the 4:1 disk looks odd...

Not only does it seem too small for the ring, but the lip for it to sit in is on the wrong side...

no it's not. they sent me random **** in my kit. a 3:1 with no ring, a 5:1 disc and 4:1 ring, and two 12:1 discs.

more than likely it will still work, the ring's job is mainly to protect the diaphragm.

 

My 4:1 looks like that also. I also thought it wasnt right when I first seen it.

 

So I should treat it like a second date, just stick it in and see what happens?

My 4:1 is the same. Slot goes down and disc just rides up and down in the ring. No shelf.
