What IC do you recommend?

Seriously though, that second-to-last sentance is pretty poorly written. Maybe "In identical spark plug types, the difference from one heat range to the next is the ability to decrease tip temperature by approximately 70°C to 100°C."

yeah, i read things, remember key bits of info and forget the rest...I'm glad I reread it though, and a quick search on the internet confirmed it's the tip's temp.
here's a great Flash animation of how it distributes the heat:

you can see in this exmaple, 68% of the heat it removes is going to the water.

Dude... Being an Ex-Marine I was going to let you slide [No pun intended] on the K-Y thing on your stove, but that comment is just too much. Hahahahahaha... Whew. Good to see a squid with a sense of humor.

Out of curiosity, I heard some BMW used the AC to cool the charge air. It produced more power with the colder air then it took to run the AC compressor. I bet the 'gains' were minimal and a good FMIC would out perform it easily. But you know them germans over engineering everything. Nice cooler btw brain! lol

I have given this some thought too... Have you considered using the wind shield washer sprayer to accomplish this? I never use my windshield washer sprayers anyway and I was thinking about re plumbing the hoses to spray on the intercooler between runs. Then you already have the tank and the pump in place and also have a handy activator switch on the stalk at your right hand.

you'd want to make it sure you fire only the pump, not the blades themselves....
since he has MEGAsquirt, it can turn the pump on where ever he programs it....
I do think the washer nozzle will suffice to just soak the IC with water, since it's not getting injected....or another type of nozzle they distributes the water better...not a stream but a spray...

Yes, but there are three problems there.
1 the washer switch also activates the windsheld wipers
2 the windshield sprayers don't "mist" very well, they "spray"
3 it is a manual solution that you would have to remember to activate, and not really know when is appropriate, or when to stop
Soflarick has a thread where he describes the system he is going to implement and trigger off his hydra ems. I am going to do essentially the same thing, but spraying will be automated by my megasquirt ecu. I will be using the stock washer bottle most likely though.

You guys can just buy a pressure switch from digikey or mouser and adjust it to when u want to activate the mist. Use adjustable spray heads from plant misters. A little widdling and some epoxy and waa-laa!

I've always wanted to do something like the track dog setup where it goes over the top. It seems the easiest for those of us with PS and AC but having never seen how the track dog kit works, I don't exactly want to go cutting up my radiator support either
Breaking out the hole saw and cutting into the fenderwells might work, too, but i haven't looked far enough into that to see if it would actually fit.

that's cute, I can activate a pump by: boost, rpm, and intake temps :gay:
