Same here, got a BBFW GT3 and shipped it from Cali to the east coast of Canaderp, worth it. Do it once, do it right.

Nothing really to add to the original topic of the thread, but I thought I'd point out to the "get a real roll bar" crowd that the Deuce is (to my knowledge) still the only off-the-shelf bar for the Miata that mounts far enough back to be safe in a rear-end collision without a helmet. It's the ideal bar for a street car: the only time you'll ever notice it is when you flip the car over, in which case you'll probably still be alive to wish you'd gotten a "real" roll bar.

On the other hand, by the time you've got aluminum seats and 5-point harnesses in your car, it's time to get a real roll bar. Along with a helmet, HANS device, and arm restraints.

The Ace is in the same position as the Deuce, but yeah, that was my motivation. I drive the car less on the street, and am going a bit more swiftly on the track, so I'm going to optimize more for track safety.

Do a 6/8 point bar for additional side impact protection and ultimate rigidity.
