Any Oregon Raceway Park members?

Mobius Thanks, I was under the impression that there was like a 3 grand membership fee, guess I need to look into it more as I would like to run there couple times a year and the open passing, no point by days are the ones I like. My favorite is Eddies [Adrenaline Racing] invitational at PIR, it's only about 20 or 25 drivers and no groups, also running with Bullet Racing Trackday at the Ridge, also invitational and open, no point passing. Well I'm loaded up for ORP, leaving tomorrow, weather supposed to be perfect, not to cool, nor to hot. Thanks John

My plan is to run open-passing events - I just want to make sure that I am qualified as a driver. I have no ego when it comes to driving. I will solicit opinions Thursday as to whether I should sign up for the 28th. At that point I will have 4 days under my belt, including this Thursday at ORP.
Andrew - you are of course going to be selling TSE BBBK's out of the back of the trailer, right?

He wouldn't get much business. Compared to PIR, ORP is very light on brakes. The hard braking zones are nicely spaced so your brakes have a chance to cool a bit.
Of course Andrew will most likely drive like a man and prove me wrong, but I've heard this from other drivers, not just my ----- footed all-season'ed ***.

Today was a seriously good time with Mr. Hyde and Jmann. I discovered this track requires a tighter belt than PIR - I ate mine. It somehow inverted itself around the crank pulley - almost a Mobius strip, as it were. I found this after the second session. Searching my toolbox, I discovered I had packed my spare, but not my backup spare, so I called it a day after replacing the belt.
I took a ride in one of the 2 Nissan GT-Rs roaring around. The driver asked me what I thought about the car - I answered "it's more." More power, more grip, more brakes than my car. Other than that, his lines were no different than mine, except for one corner. I think I disappointed him not being blown away by the sooper sooper awesomeness of his car. After the ride, he did himself a dis-service by furthering my internal opinion that most (all) drivers of track cars in the 100k range are secretly stars of their own Flatout video by telling me "You've now ridden in Godzilla. Tell your friends!"
And Jmann, in his much less than 100k miata, was chasing him down
Edit: and the unspoken "more": much more expensive. His consumables budget is probably 5x ours, possibly 10x.

Autox in the South Paddock at PIR is interesting. It's extremely bumpy. You learn a lot about people's suspensions watching them at that site. I need to use third a lot more; I ran out of 2nd several times.
