In case anyone was wondering, the Dynapro part number I used was: 120-9703-RD. The RD on the end makes them stop like 10' shorter than the BK version.

Double posting to say......holy crap these work well. I was at the Chin Motorsports event at Mid-Ohio the last few days. I started on street tires and then stepped up to hoosiers. Very consistent and the pedal feel is great. Didn't have to bleed the brakes all weekend, they were literally maintenance free. The DTC 60's (front and rear) are very grabby pads so if anything there is a bit too much power, I might experiment with pedal ratio's or just go full manual. Interestingly enough I had to pull a little rear brakes out with the bias valve even though they are stock sized rotors, this was on the hoosiers and after I kicked the ballast out of the car (instructor) so it makes sense I was transferring more weight. The pad wear visually looks great, I'm going to measure the pads and see if I can get a ball park of how long they'll last.

Edit: just checked one caliper but it appears there was~.130" to .140" wear. Starting with .490" there should be 6 days of pad life on these easy. This is double what I was getting out of the stock rotors and calipers. I did see a little bit of taper on the pads so I rotated them which I'm hoping will extend their life.

Question.....anyone aware of a directional vane rotor for the mini conversion? Saw a few references that mentioned OEM rotors we're directional but all left handed rotors so that won't work.

I never looked in to directional vane rotors. Might find some in the Brembo catalog.

I have not personally used the Dynapro caliper on the 11" or 11.5" rotors. There are others that have tried them and it works. I would say if Dynalites clear your wheels and have at least 1/4" clearance you should be able to fit Dynapro calipers on the same brackets. If you have the 11" bracket you will need a 11.5" bracket to fit the larger rotors.

I confirmed a few pages back that the 11.5" rotor with Dynapro calipers clear the 15x9 6UL's and 15x10 Jongbloed's by a pretty decent margin.

Big thanks to Rallas for the adapter kit to install the mini rotors on my car.

The quality of the kit is excellent and the fit was perfect. I was not going bigger per se, as the car had the Goodwin racing ver 1 big brake kit installed, but rather the kit was to reduce the cost of and improve the availability of the rotors in my neck of the world.

I am in South Africa and there are very few NA Miata's here. Shipping brake rotors of having them custom made is not the most economical way to go. The Mini sold pretty well here so the aftermarket parts on these cars are strong - 60 USD for both rotors versus a quoted 380 USD to manufacture.

Comparison of Goodwin Racing 2 piece rotor and mini rotor. Both are 280mm dia. but the offset differs.

Mini disc installed with the kit from Rallas. These are 15 inch Team Dynamics RACING rims

The 11" rotor from the naturally aspirated Mini fits under the OEM NB 15" wheels and almost all aftermarket 15" wheels. This works great for street applications or naturally aspirated 4 banger track day use and even some lower HP forced induction track day use with good air ducting. Probably not what you would want for an LFX build.

The larger 11.5" rotors from the turbo Mini Cooper S fit under most track purpose aftermarket wheels 15x8 or wider. All 15x9 and wider wheels tested so far work great. I have had luck with a few 15x7 wheels that just barely clear the calipers. I personally run Konig Dial-In 15x 7 for the street and they just clear the calipers and have tons of room under the Dail-In 15x9 track wheels. For narrower than a 15x7 I recommend running the 11" rotor. 16" factory wheels also clear the 11.5" rotors, but not too many people do track days on 16" wheels. The 11.5" would be a good fit for your LFX build. So far I have only had one guy run out of brakes on these and that's Bronson with his LS 400+hp monster!

Ha! I wouldn't fault the brakes for that little fiasco. They did just fine over a dozen track days, it wasn't until my brake fans came disconnected did they fade.....and even then it was after chasing down and passing a McClaren with multiple 150 to 50 mph braking zones. These brakes are by far the best bang for the buck setup you can get for anything short of a bonkers build. I decided to dig into a bigger rotor (1.25" wide) just because I knew I was close to edge, but honestly I could have continued to rock these with 400 whp and functioning brake fans.

In case anyone cares, I posted these for sale to finance the BBBk (bigger big brake kit) and sold them in 15 min at $500 for the complete setup. Can't beat that resale value.
