They’re SFI rated, and it’s not 100lbs, the steel ones are 20lbs. The Jerichos themselves are around 75lbs, another 5lbs for the 5-speed, but the 4 speed is all you really need. All for a ~800ft/lb (+/- 100ft/lbs) capable transmission.

Didn't/Doesn't TNTuba run one of these in his supercharged ssm car? IIRC he had some issues with exhaust clearance and the side loader shifter linkage but that was it.

Ryan Passey runs a 4spd G-Force in his Hypermiata time attack car behind a supercharged LFX. Not opposed to it, I just have sunken cost into this AZ6 and it will drop right in no fuss. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

Head is being set up right now to determine what size lash caps for the SUBs. I know I said no subs but only because I thought they wouldn't arrive in time. But they're required for the cams and part of the kit. Even if we can't make Sonoma, we are all pretty psyched to drive this beast when its done.

side loader isn’t horrible from a clearance standpoint. Need to plan around the transmission mount. I actually used (most of) the kraken supplied downpipe.

2000 lbs with driver would be killer. Please share the final weight when complete as I am building a 1.6 based fully caged car focused on weight savings. I'm predicting 1700 lbs roughly without me. The windshield frame was gutted (lots of steel in there), raked, and lowered 2 inches along with a massive floor drop.

Started to feel some anxiety over having stock main caps. Oil pan was off to get bungs welded on so I decided to have billet main caps added. Mazworx had a set in stock. Bottom end was already done so it comes back apart, line bored.
We weren't going to make Sonoma anyway so I'm okay with the delay. Extra insurance is a good thing and now I can safely use the top end power the cams will offer.

Dash and windshield coming to life. It will still have the dry carbon hood. Not sure what the sheet over the cowl is for yet. We talked about attaching the windshield to the hood so maybe he's doing that. Dunno.
Cool

Did something similar on our car. Brought the panels to the local upholster and $300 later we had a lightly padded dash covered in black fabric. You might ask around. We welded some dzus tabs to the dash bar and the base of the windshield frame. You can see the reflection of the dzus' in the really dirty windshield, we painted these black eventually.

Remains to be seen (literally), how visibility, glare will be. No way we'll make Miata Reunion so the pressure is off Alex and Mike. Really want to run it next year so we'll keep pushing to get it on track and start tuning before January.
Meanwhile Kaiko, our NC2 project has its new motor with Crower stage 1 cams, and a C30-94 Rotrex from BBR. That's mostly done and what we'll bring to Miata Reunion.

I'm not in here giving kudos often enough, but it's fun to see this build progressing!

I may have to drive up to Sonoma for the Reunion. I've got a new job and NASA the following weekend, but I might pop my head in to say hi in person.

Everything sanded, caged primered. Ready for paint. Decided at the last minute to cut the core support out of the front. Weight weenie victory.

Primered. Just a bit of final sanding left. Paint this week.

Oh my.

Kaiko's (NC project) paint had equal parts silver and gold flakes. While it looks great in bright light, its a bit flat in low light and from certain angles. I think thats the silver so I left that out of OGK's paint. I think it worked.

Meanwhile in the horsepressure dept..

Cams arrived so it has liftage and SUBs. Based on previous builds, this should hit ~400whp at around 20-23psi and turn the transmission into a particle cloud at 30psi

AN bung for Radium separator

Drain back for turbo
