On the plus side, if you accidentally bought the wrong chip and can't permanently store settings, it's pretty easy to run my app just before your track day or whatever before opening racechrono/harrys.

Your application is very helpfull.
I will try it tomorrow with my gps module.
But I have few questions. Why the installed app size is more than 13mb? And why this app need the internet connection?
This is somewhat troubling me from using this application.

Awesome write-up. We are always looking to spread our knowledge. I was too lazy to do a writeup like that so its good the information got out there. I'm going to link to it from our site to hopefully help people out in the future.

Thanks! That'd be awesome. Thanks for figuring out how to do this.

It's 2.5mb? As far as install size, no idea. The internet permission is because I put an ad on it.

Link to new write up is dead for me. I was on the original group buy for these, and use it often (still works awesome!) but wanted to send the write up to my brother. Was the thread taken down?

Thanks for that one lane. Yeah, sorry dasting, the URL got screwed up when I pasted it for some reason. I fixed the original post as well.

Hi,

I have successfully built the Bluetooth GPS but it is for my Android Phone on Kit-kat OS. The frequency is set to 10Hz. I use this Bluetooth GPS mainly for my navigation instead of data logging as my build-in GPS no longer work as expected after some repair. I tested this DIY Bluetooth GPS with Google Street, and Waze, and I notice there is lag as much as 8 seconds. For example, the time I made a turn and that turn appear on my phone map is 8 seconds delayed, another example is the time I made a brake at a traffic light and the speedometer showing from ## KM/h to 0 KM/h is 8 seconds.

I tried Bluetooth GPS apps by GG Moblab and mobile-j.de, both apps does not show any improvement.

Has anyone experience this? and how did you fix it?

Thanks

Hi.
I'm trying develop the same project. I bought a HC-06 module, but I'm with problems to pair with my smartphone. In my first test, I connect only the HC-06 with the Breackout Board and try to pair with my Android smatrphone, but my smartphone don't discovery the HC-06 module.

When I turn on the HC-06 module, the led stay flashing (although in the photo looks like fixed), waiting for the smartphone pairing, but the smartphone can't see the HC-06 to pair.
I bought the HC-06 2 days ago, and didn't any setup, just connect the boards and try pair . Do you do some setup before do the connection?
Tanks
