Thoughts on Circuit Sports oil baffle?
Curious about the Circuit Sports oil baffle using vertical baffles and flappers as well as the flat plate vs the Mazda Motorsports normal flat plate?
VVT motor running Amsoil 10w40 Race @ 260*, Boundry Stage 2 pump, ½ qt. overfill.
Have always seen a drop of oil pressure at the end of long LH sweepers breaking into a hard RH turn running the Mazda plate. AKA Sebring going through Bishops Bend then entering turn 15 on Hoosier A’s.
Teardown doesn’t show bearing damage, but have red oil light set to flash at 25PSI and occasionally blinks at me right at apex of 15 while still trail braking after long LH turn then turning right.

I have had similar experience on a fully baffled race engine, baffles by the engine builder, just one spot on all the tracks I visited, brief flash under heavy braking. Accusump fixed that.
That would be my recommendation for a sure fix, there is a Moroso version and I'm sure others.

It should add some additional protection over just the flat plate. The top of the CS looks like fits similar to the Mazda Motorsports/Prather plate only. I will eco what Gee Emm said, adding an Accusump that is open when the engine is on track is the best option.
