Baffle plate differences

Baffle plate differences
Does anyone know why the Nb2 valve cover baffle plate differ from NB1. Can you mix them in either valve cover ?
I have an NB1 and somehow wound up with a flat plate. Can't find any other examples where it's flat - except NB2
