Had a woman in a Yaris think she was racing me the other day from a stoplight to a merge. If she would have pushed on the gas pedal any harder, I think it would have went through the firewall.

I casually drove away.

Height Adjustable Suspension kit for Vitz | TRD
TRD Vitz Cup Kit
I'm pretty sure the yaris and vitz share everything but the name. I've heard of people using these.

Go with a Mazda2 over the Yaris. The Yaris is complete crap in almost all ways. The Fit holds more then the Mazda2, but the Mazda2 is more fun to drive around.

Crap as in unreliable? Plastic **** breaks?

I haven't driven a honda fit yet. I considered the Mazda2 - Maybe a Protege (I like the body styling years 01-03)

I would say... Another MIATA! , but I need storage.

WRX Wagon would be nice/fun too but mpg

A 99-00 civic ex might get stolen But I loved that SOHC d16y8

The yaris is crap in the sense the plastic sucks, trans feel horrible, they are horribly slow, and generally just made me want to pull my hair out while driving. I would prefer to be driving my grandparents old *** Buick that drives like a giant boat over the yaris. I was hoping the yaris would be fun and tossable due to its size. No Toyota was 100% able to make it a boring ride like the rest of their cars.

I'd take a Fit over a Mazda2 any day....

... or a new Mazda3 over either one. The price difference isn't huge.

Wish they were bringing the new Mazda2 here.

Rather have a Mazda 3 hatchback than a Protege5.

Some dumb kunt rear ended my Unicorn XJ Cherokee at a dead stop today in a 35mph zone at 50-60mph.

Learn me how to **** over her insurance as much as possible in an effort to get true replacement value out of them in the form of a check to make my rage subside.

Damn man, are you OK? That's a helluva hit. Or was the Jeep parked with nobody in it? Let's hope it's that one.

That's the worst part. I was at work. My wife was driving my Jeep, i was driving hers.

If she had been in her Jeep, the dumb kunt would probably be in the hospital right now after the rear bumper went through her windshield.

Scary thought: i didn't realize what "Thank god i took your Jeep today" meant until she clarified when i got home that she was considering driving the Miata today.

Wife is ok. Sore neck and a headache, has an appt in the morning.

Neither the Caravan that hit her or the Lincoln that she was pushed into could drive away. Both totaled and immobile. Had to be towed.

Cherokee drove home because it don't give a ****. Cherokee: Stronk like bull.

It hasn't been nearly long enough to know how hurt she is. Money on her having a very hard time getting out of bed tomorrow. Ah that sucks.

Make sure she gets every bit of care she needs. Go see a chiropractor, get x-rays, scans, WHATEVER the docs recommend. All of this leads not only to the care she deserves after being in such an accident, but it's also ammo for a larger payout. I got hit on my motorcycle a few years ago and went through quite a process leading to a large payout, feel free to PM me if you want more info.

Van that hit her.

Hit her hard enough to push her about 15 feet forward and buttfuck the Lincoln in front of her.

Cherokee drove home. Looked fine at first glance.

The best way to get replacement value out of it is to gather evidence (copies of bills of sale) of other sales of the same vehicle type.

Lastly, remember that the other driver's insurance company owes you nothing, the driver that hit her owes the money. That driver's insurance company legally pays the driver that hit your wife; even if the check comes from that insurance company. What this means is that you simply get a lawyer to write up an "intent to sue", provide it to the other driver, and let him/her fight their own insurance company.

The best way to get replacement value out of it is to have a tingling in your arms and hands that makes it difficult and sometimes painful to work. I hate lawyers and condone most of them accidentally dying in a fire while grilling hot dogs, but you asked the question. Otherwise, no, you won't get **** for that old Jeep. Sorry.

[I thought we had a "Deep Thoughts..." or something thread but I can't find it. So this goes here instead.]

Found out a few days ago that my 14 week old son has partial hearing loss in his left ear. He had failed his hearing test on the left side after birth but we were assured this was very common and usually it was just gunk in the ear canal and he would pass the screening in 2 weeks or 4 weeks or whenever.

So, it's a bit of a gut punch for a few reasons. This child survived an early diagnosis of fetal hydrops which is extremely uncommon. He had inguinal hernias which resulted in surgery at 6 weeks, and then a surgical incision site infected with MRSA which required an additional surgery to remove infected tissue plus 2 rounds of antibiotics. We had just had 3 weeks without any trips to the pediatric ER and felt like things were settling down into a pleasant, stress free routine. The normal newborn things like lack of sleep and fussiness seemed like nothing.

The second part of the gut punch was confirming that, despite have an (otherwise) excellent health insurance policy paid primarily by my employer, hearing care, regardless of medical necessity, is not covered at all other than the very first initial newborn screening. So every visit, every examination, and all of the costs involved with hearing aids, will be paid out of pocket.

We are regrouping and figuring out what this means for our child, for us, and what options are available to us. We have support from family. We will be alright. But it's a gut punch.

Condolences Ben and Mark.
Ben, do all of the things we talked about.
Or give me what's left, and I will do dumb things.

If anyone has at least a two year degree, wants to work in a kick *** science lab, make at least 50k a year, and relocate to Indiana (can stay in my basement for a while) let me know asap.
We have an opening, and the talent pool is very shallow.
