Not really. It's a dark grey washable filter.

Could be a similar approach on NA, or totally irrelevant.

^ thanks Nigel. The NA chassis has all the headlight junk up there, but I'm getting some ideas.

This is the tap I bought and used when I tapped mine for 3/8NPT. 37/64” stub length; https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

nigelt, you have a metal intercooler pipe that's radiating a LOT of heat into the Cold Air Box.

Have you considered replacing that section with a silicone hose or wrapping it with a thermal insulator?

That's a good point. Wrapping it would be super easy. Thanks!

2 3" 90*'s from silicone intakes trimmed to fit and joined to a K&N filter by a short piece of 3" aluminum pipe.
Originally used a bigger filter, but it wouldn't clear the hood. Quick and dirty math says this filter will support ~200hp before becoming a restriction.

FM butterfly brace easily clears both the DP & MP. Not even an issue with my cat.

The cannon brace is in. It took a bit more doing than the butterfly brace. I had about 1/8" interference between the mid pipe and the removable section of the cannon brace designed to let through the exhaust pipe.

I ended up having to bend 3 exhaust hangers about 1/4" to get good clearance:
1) Midpipe hangar. I just put a floor jack under the hangar and bent it up a little without even removing it. Done.
2) The one hangar welded directly to the muffler. I put the hangar in a vice & malletized it with a 3 lb sledge.

3) The exhaust hangar welded to a custom mounting bracket that comes with your MK kit. I had to bend this one up a bit again using a vice & sledge.

Because the interference was right at the bend in the tail end of the mid pipe, I only had to bend the hangars about 1/4", but now the tightest clearance from the brace is almost 1/2". I couldn't get the exhaust to make contact with the brace by jerking it around, but we'll see how it do while driving.

Default Lars still alive?

Has anyone heard from Lars recently (like within the last week or two)? I ordered a kit from him right before Thanksgiving, and he still hasn't gotten all of the parts to me. He still owes me an exhaust manifold and the exhaust hanger. He has not responded to any of my emails after new years break. Has anyone else been able to get a reply out of him within the last week or two? Does anyone have his phone number?

I have a NA but didn't sonofthehill help with how to route them for the NB? Or no? Maybe check out his build thread. Or nigel a couple posts above. His site has pictures of how its run as well, correct?

Lars did not model it after mine because I cut a bunch of sheet metal. Here's my previous cold side, I have made a few slight changes but this is pretty much it.

I was wondering if anyone had Lars IC Kit. Sonofthehill and Nigel have their own custom IC set up.

And I'm sorry I misspoke, I'm having trouble with the hot side. Not the cold side.
