You guys rock. I'm heavily debating just moving to the Quife when I switch classes/add power. Having the adapter specs solves the only "hard" problem in the way (as someone with little fab skills). I have no input on file type, I'm sure I can find someone to make it from whatever the popular/standard file type is.
This assembly was indeed, the hard part of the swap. In the old quaife thread by k24madness, we talked about driveshaft alignment and getting pinion angles correct. Do your homework on that when you are setting it up, regardless of what trans and diff you use.
Also recommend buying the full NA/NB MX5 kit from Quaife and not trying to use a universal QBE60G and doo all the adapting yourself. Getting the a bolt in bell housing and output shaft & spline correct is impossible to easily replicate without some hardcore design, engineering and fab resources,
So Milly, I have been looking to get the Quaife transmission for quite some time. I saw that you guys did it awhile back and wondered how. I need to save this thread so I can go back to it once I get ready for a full engine overhaul and trans replacement. Any little detail helps.
