I've just wiring in a knock sensor from a old Saturn to my AEM EMS.
I've done a run at low boost and determined what I believe is the knock floor.
I really want to create "knock" just too see what the logs look like. Is this safe?? I was thinking of just revving the car in neutral at about 4k and continue advancing the timming until I see the voltage spike as well as start to hear sound from the knock muffs.
What do you think?

It'll be hard to make it knock with light load.
Try advancing it lots at 3500 kPa and 100 kPa. Drive on a flat road and hold the RPM at 3500, then roll into it. As the car transitions through 100 kPa it should knock once or twice. Do it with the engine hot.
