Anyone know of thinner (diameter) unflanged nuts?

Right now I only have 2/3ish threads of engagement holding on one of the studs of my downpipe. It's an M8 stud, I'm looking for a reduced hex nut... found one with a flange, but that makes it even worse than this. Any recommendations?
(as an aside, anyone know the part numbers to get a steel oil tee from pegasus racing? I'm not finding the correct adapters)
...yes. It's hitting the weld. And the pipe. Every turn. And if you look at the picture, if the stud is ANY longer, there's not even room to put on the nut. Look at the picture, the DP expands immediately after the flange.
Get a 5mm longer stud and put that nut on there first.. You dont even have to tighten it just get it started on there. If you want a nut with more threads, get a wide nut and grind the one side flat so the threads are from face to face.
then you fit the nut on it as your fitting the manifold onto the studs. So you'll have to "float" the flanges apart and start getting the nut threaded, then get the surfaces to mate up as you tighten the nut.
