So, Vlad is right. We need to all get together and measure ... the performance of our cars, or something.

Where can we meet? EO2K you're probably the most familiar with the area, breakfast friday morning or something?

In for wishing i knew you gays would have a meatup sooner so I could have sent out decals and such. I am not covering the costs of sending decals from the east cost to the west coast by Friday.

I have a sticker guy Lars if you need me to print some up.

I am hoping I can make it but it is looking iffy. My employees are being bitches.

Lars: I agree, this thread should have been created long, long ago.

Jeff: tell them to un-bitch themselves. I need to see your car.

The question is... how many people? There is a Blackbear Diner in Monterey right down 218 from MRLS but I have a feeling it'll be a high profile target as a breakfast spot on Friday AM. They have a back room but I have no idea how many people it takes to fill/reserve it.

Also of note: Watch your speed on 218 as you travel from Monterey/Seaside to the track. Its a VERY well known speed trap in the area. The "city" of Del Rey Oaks uses tickets issued on 218 as its only source of income.

I'm pretty sure I'm going exactly the speed limit once I get out of Nevada. Ya'll Northwesterners and your crazy slow speed limits and tons of cops.

Thanks for the tip about Del Rey Oaks.

I'm down for black bear. If we all meet there and it's too crowded we can always go somewhere else, but if we CAN eat there it'll be great cuz that place is awesome.

Contact Brian Kelly and Jeff Mann, I believe they're both going down, although they'll be trailering. There's also a dude "with the 2nd miata delievered to the US" at AR, getting his stroaker 1.6 replaced with a NA 1.8, and his link replaced with a Hydra. Last I saw it (last night), it was on a lift with no engine or transmission, or interior, getting FM frame rails.

But he's planning on leaving Wednesday.

Tentatively yes. As long as I can find a decent spot to set up a tent and bum it hippy style.

I have a feeling finding a hotel room and finding a room for a decent price will be impossible.

I wish I had my 2" hitch welded to my Jetta so I could tow the Miata up on a dolly and sleep in my Jetta, but September snuck the **** up on me.

Assuming I'm not in my garage try furiously (futilely?) to get my car working, I'll try to make this. Mind you that's a big assumption.

Also if I do make it up, and someone (Ed)managed to get a track spot, I volunteer them driving my car around the track(as long as I'm in the passenger seat). Would be fun to see someone else drive it. Or just let EO2K drive it in sympathy for not having the turbo ready yet.

Well I've been signed up for a track spot since the beginning. I'm not sure I can just swap cars like that though. But wow, that'd be absolutely insane to drive your car. I think EO2K would be a far better option... have you seen my quarter panel?

So, black bear, Friday morning? Shall we say 9 AM?

I'm all for it, as long as you don't find a tree to hug with it! What I'd really like is for Emilio or Savington to take it for a lap or two and give me their brutally honest opinion(something tells me I already know what it would be...).

I'm guessing here? I've got as much Motul grease as a gay Russian could want Vlad, only the best...

The best thing about them is their reasonable portion sized "little less" options... like two egg omelettes or one egg breakfasts complete with smaller sized meats and sides.
