Successful 300whp, Stock 1.6
Thanks! It was not. It was on a Dyno Dynamics, and that shop always has their CF at 1.03. So take away 3% and it's like 295. Still very happy with it. Tuned it so the torque stays around 250 to save parts. I swapped the 6 speed in this weekend as well, don't want to grenade the 5 speed.
The turbo and the manifold. I was considering also ditching that manifold for a better flowing one, because I believe it could be a restriction in the upper rpm range. But since I'm buying a built motor next month it'd be better to wait and just run an absurd flow with a much bigger turbo.

It's a built 1.6. I know yeah yeah 1.8 is better. But it's a fully built motor with clutch, turbo, manifold, pnp head, valves, springs. EVERYTHING done to it. All for only 3k shipped, and has 500 miles on it. It's a stupid good deal. The slow spool I can make up for in revving it out. If I want to down the road I'll do a 1.8. But for that price, it's worth it imo. The absurd flow will come with that motor.
You seem to be missing something. AbsurdFlow is a brand of turbo manifolds on here made by TurboTim. So every time you say that, I think of his manifolds. As far as I know he does not and has not ever built 1.6 manifolds.
250(+) / 250, at 5200 RPM.. No wonder it isn't breaking. Bet its a freight-train after 5k though. What are the "specs" on the Greddy turbo, the same unit that comes with the old 1.6 Greddy kit?
