So my engine is rebuilt and sorted for the most part. I have 85 miles on the motor as of now. I've got my wastegate wired open and am dying to throw some boost at it. To soon?... I've got the basics tuned. AFR's look good and safe. No leaks and seems to be running just fine. I've changed the oil twice already and no evidence of anything out of place or shinny bits floating around. Do you all think I should wait to start adding boost even if just wastegate pressure? Your opinions are appreciated.

More info is needed, my limited experience says sort out the issues before compounding them with boost. I'm sure someone will chime in with engine break in info.
By sorted I mean just little things to take care of nothing major. I’ve already followed the flyin miata break in procedures other than driving it a couple hundred miles. Since this cars just a toy for me it could take a while to do that.
I would just run a line straight to the wastegate and run it at WG pressure.
You said nothing shiny. Did you shine a flashlight into the oil from the first change? It is normal to have some super fine glitter from the rings breaking in, you should have seen the oil that came out of my new John Dere after 1 hour of running!
Thanks guys. Ive got the wastegate hooked up and Im gonna take it out tonight and let her have it. Will prob stay at wastegate pressure for a couple pulls than turn it up and see what happens. All new and all forged so should be able to handle 20 psi!!!! Lol...... 🤑
