Picking her up Saturday. Im quite sure I will be around the forums a decent bit. Ive dealt with low build number cars before so Im already aware of the headaches they come with. It also doesnt matter much since any hard to find stock parts will be upgraded anyways. Found a low mileage gem and decided to jump on it. Considered getting a base and putting a KLZE in but figured turbos wouldnt fit as well at that point. And I dont really feel like ripping into another ZE at the moment to address the oiling issues with the number 6 rod. We will see where it takes me though. Purists will hate me, I dont generally make collectors of rare cars happy either. Aside from that, Im into competition car audio so if anyone needs advice on audio related things feel free to hit me up.

Welcome. Also own and 04 MSM and also used to do IASCA SQ comps back in the day. My DD Lexus has a halfway decent CDT/Image Dynamics/PPI ProArt setup that I've had for years now in a few different cars. Not nearly into car audio as much as I used to be, but still enjoy it since it's what got me into cars.

an MSM is not a rare or collector or hard to find or anything car.

this isn't the m.net wine-n-cheeze retard club, here we aren't stuck in 1998 fantasy land where an MSM is considered impressive or special.

so welcome.

Good, the impulse RS guys threw a **** fit when i started swapping motors and swapped from awd to fwd since there werent any awd parts anywhere to be found. I couldnt wait till tomorrow so i went today and made the trip. Shes in the driveway now and about to head to get a scrub down. Was wonderful to drive aside from tirning 4k in 6th on the freeway. Thinking ring and pinion need to drop down a bit. Ill research and see what i find out works best. Intercooler was upgraded at some point for a much larger one. Once i get uer all cleaned up ill snap some decent pics. For a 14 year old car with 49k on it I am really impressed by how well it was maintained.

sq is an expensive side of car audio! Then again SPL tends to destroy the vehicle so it becomes quite expensive as well. The 4runner has 3 DSS Ethos 15s in a 3:1 ratio 4th on a 5k. It does 150dbs+ from 32-48 and peaks out at 153ish. I like flat musical builds and not burp builds so i am thrilled with the numbers for the power and being a c-pillar build. The doors are a PRV 6mr300 and a 6mb250 with a ppi supertweet per door. Running those on an oldschool AB sq945. Sub stage is running off a Crescendo BC5500.
