thanks for the advice.

and Braineack, so the chart isn't always realistic? i mean its probably formula-determined, but when it comes to each individual car things will alter that, and it seems more like common sense to upgrade front instead of downgrading rear; although how much will a large front swaybar run me? i don't want offbrand but i do have a budget..

I mean it's definitely more "tail happy" now, but I have yet to break it loose without trying. I actually think my turn-in has improved as my setup prior was a little pushy, I'm acutally quite pleased. I have yet to hear anyone complain about the GC 375/250 rates in this regard, so I wouldn't worry. I came from 400/250 so more or less the same thing, and like I said, I still had a little push...but I also have a big fornt bar and stock rear.

But I have yet to autox this new setup to really see how it handles.

wait u dont have a rear bar whatsoever? so if i had front sway and my rear sway, with this setup, it'd be even HARDEr to swing the back end out than if i didnt have the rear sway?

I have mine removed as well and it definitely made the car less tail happy.

anyways: if no rear sway = less "tail happy" or less likely for the tail to swing out, what does front sway do? if i have front sway = less "tail happy" or otherway around

Blindsided, on stock suspension there was a certain relatively small sideways angle that always resulted in my pointed the wrong direction. FM sways fixed this, I haven't found an angle that puts me backwards, although I've ground to a stop a little sideways from lack of power/speed. This issue did not return when I put in KYB/FM springs, or with my current Koni race/450/300 setup.

The point of that story is more of my advise to put half the money towards FM sways and I think it'll make a much larger improvement towards your goals than anything the GC/KYB setup will do.

or how they can be adjusted to tighter or looser..

anyways, what would be best combination for "least tail happy" or leastlikely to whip my back end out..

You want to keep both sway. People that remove the rear sway dont want a nimble car.

It's all about weight transfer, so the rule of thumb is this:

bigger front sway = more push
bigger rear sway = more oversteer

A lot of folks remove the rear bar all together to increase the weight transfer to the front of the car to remove oversteer. This is a band-aid way to do it and it dramtically decreases the fun level of the car and your ability to toss it around.

I myself was one of these guys, because with the increased power it was easier to get sideways, I removed the rear sway to help keep the rear tires planted, but when I would autox the car, it had trouble negotiating tight corners...the car just didnt want to turn-in. I refit the rear bar and increased the stiffness on the front bar and haven't looked back.

so with that being said. The price youre getting this setup sounds good. It's an improvemnt over stock and while not the best shock in the world the price is right.

Once you fit them, if you think the setup has too much oversteer, then you can simply fit a front sway bar to fine tune. Or even adjust the front shocks a little firmer than the rears.

AFTERMARKET sway bars are adjustable. Look at FM's site, you can see the different holes in the pictures, they change the lever arm length, therefore adjusting how effective they are.
