Took them a week to respond, but "finditparts" on eBay currently has both M50217441 and M50317441 stocked as well. US-based so a good option to consider.

@OP, even if you have Adam rescale the gauge for you, without the right speedo gear in the transmission, your odometer will be off as well as your trip-odometer.

Since its a built motor project car that'll probably ultimately be tracked, I can't think of any reasons ill need odometer accuracy. Certainly is a tradeoff though

I bought a 19tooth M50217441 a few months ago from realmazdaparts.com, I just checked and it looks like they have them in stock. Might be worth a call.

Just placed an order at realmazdaparts for a customer of mine. Will update if all is actually in stock.
Thanks for the useful info everyone.
Update:
They said the parts would have to be ordered from the warehouse so a couple weeks out.

Ok, I'm kind of upset now. They're the first retailer I placed an order with and they canceled it... Twice.

After a call, I was told they were discontinued, out of stock, and didn't know where else I should look. Sounds like the gears are scarce, but I've just been talking to all the wrong people haha. Glad yall are finding them now

Tommy @ Priority Mazda Parts is who you should reach out to. You want to call and ask specifically for him. If the part is available just about anywhere in the world from Mazda, he will be able to find it. I scored a bit of 93LE red parts brand new this way. The last parts Mazda had and sold.

Could the gear be produced by 3D printing?

Yes, but it is a challenging environment for wear, temperature and oil resistance all at once.

Thanks, I just figured with all the advances with this technology, that you just choose a filament that meets your requirements, pop it in, and away you go. Oh well.
