From the HVT site:
"HVT 6000 Series HVT introduces a new line of quality stainless steel bodied, non adjustable coilovers designed to fit OEM top mounts. With comfort and suspension travel at the top of the features list, HVT 6000 coilovers get your car lowered without the punishing ride of other low end coilovers. There no longer must be a compromise between a nice ride and a lowered vehicle. Turn In Concepts will be introducing our first HVT 6000 Subaru STI (GD Chassis) package in March followed by 949 Racing's version of the 6000 Series available on NA and NB Miatas. Prices start at $750 including springs for non strut vehicles." |
^ding ding we have a winner. Nice find.

The surprise announcement of gen 2 Xidas got me wondering why there wasn't advance notice like every other 949/SUPERMIATA product. I found that gem after reading through the nasioc thread that is very similar to this one.
"Aren't these just KW copies?" "No." "Are these better than ______?" "Maybe." "Will these go lower than ______?" "If you want them to..." "Will these be cheaper than racelands?" "........" |

The tecna is a not a rebadged anything, designed and engineered from scratch in partnership with Hanchey Vehicle Technologies in Plano, TX.
Ricelands have chromed bodies, the tecna have stainless steel bodies BTW. The brand is SuperMiata. The model of this particular coilover is tecna. I went back to re-read how this conversation started. Props to Emilio for being straightforward from the very beginning. They aren't rebadged anything. It's a new line of shocks, and these ones have been tweaked specifically for the Miata. Should be a great shock. |

I dont think the right picture is lined up with the model name on HVT's site. I would expect the Technas to look more like the TurnInConcept 6000 series setup:
HVT Coilover (GD 5X114.3) https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1395180744 |

If the rates were higher on those I'd probably be replacing my RCE wagon springs and koni yellows with them. But the rates are lower than the springs in the car now.
At least they did in my FXT |

Finally, an affordable track coilover. So what class would these put me in for TT?

What is a good 175/60/14 that would pull triple duty (track/dd/time travel)? I don't want to go 180 cause I hypermile on track and that would totally mess up my mileage.
