Can't Wait for 949 Clutch Anymore
#122
What's SUPER awesome is that i've apparently purchased 2 slave cylinders and a master cylinder i didn't need to, wasted 2 bottles of Amsoil Dot4 fluid, one bottle of Motul 600, 2 bottles of Amsoil MTG, and many hours of my time.
Oh, and the tools i had to buy this morning to be able to do the clutch job in my driveway.
Blaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Really unhappy right now. I didn't have the time or money for this to go wrong.

I hope you get it fixed up though, sounds like you've found the problem now.

Well you asked for help, said you were at a loss, and it was your only car to drive. You even said you thought you were doing something wrong since you had issues on your previous car with disengagement. I've had clutch problems before too, so I offered up what I thought could be the problem based on what you said it was doing. You then accuse me of not reading something, and being ignorant on brake fluid. Even if I am ignorant on brake fluid, insulting someone who is offering free advice that you asked for is pretty shitty. About the only thing I remember between DOT3 and DOT4 was DOT4 had a higher dry boiling temp, but a lower wet boiling temp, I think it's a more hydroscopic fluid, but I'm no brake fluid expert by any means.
I hope you get it fixed up though, sounds like you've found the problem now.
