I wouldn't buy another F1 clutch.
You must have put in the throwout bearing this time.

You should remind them of the Miata group buy and the bountiful number of PPs that had to be returned due to this same problem. The issue is that the diaphragm needed to be pushed down more than typical in order to release it from the disc. well outside the range of our fork, we campared the throw on a bench press form that of the issue clutchnet PP and a ACT XT.

Yeah, you think the no throwout issue had something to do with it? I thought the throwout was vestigial .

Yeah, we moved the fork beyond what the slave could stroke, and still no release. The fact that the guy from clutchnet really just discounted it as a release mech problem kind of gets to me, even if they have had one bad plate, if it CAN happen they shouldn't discount the possibility.

Seriously, I was warned about not only the hit or miss of the quality of these units, but also the poor customer service. So, I almost feel that I had it coming to me in a way. It'll be ACT for me for the foreseeable future. This is my second one, and they bite well and are easy to drive. BTW, I think my original one is still floating around the membership here...

Scott and I dropped his trans twice in a day ******* with his clutchnet POS. After that it is either ACT or FM or 949Racing for clutches. I will not touch anything else.
