So apparently Flyin' Miata was a bit optimistic with the holding capacity of their Level 1 clutch, so I am out shopping for a replacement. Basically narrowed it down to the Supermiata Sprung Puck (based on a call to them) or the ACT XTSS. Based on what I am reading the SPM will have a lighter pedal but more abrupt engagement, and the ACT is heavier but smoother. I don't suppose anybody has direct experience with both?
Less concerned about me, and more concerned about my wife (who will be doing a couple track days this summer in the car) and which one might be a better fit. Built 1.8 with EFR 6258 on pump gas, can't tell you the power because dyno tuning day was supposed to be tomorrow but my ******* "holds 318 ft/lbs!" clutch is slipping at 8.5 psi. Leaning towards SPM because it's significantly less expensive, but concerned about modulation.

If not that old, call up FM and complain. Something is not right.
My fm1 clutch holds 17psi on a 6258 perfectly fine, street and track. That's 275lbs/tq at the dyno.
