hah, i'm on your side fellas.....i'm not too excited about the flames either. i just wanted you to understand that the tire is supposed to be pretty excellent, and not a poser tire.............if you can get past the flames.

The flames are gay, but who cares if it's a good tyre.
I got XS's last month and have a trackday next month. I'm hopeful that they will be better than the Azenis.

Andy Hollis likes them, atleast for the track:

You guys are really being a bunch of **** right now, I mean comon who cares if they put little flames in them that will wear off after a week? Without the orange, you will barley be able to see the flames any way.

Point is they claim a 30% performance increase over the rs-2. They could put teletubby silhouettes in them and I wouldn't care...

so what your saying is that if you made a gay porno, but later destroyed the tape, then your not gay? Its not that there are flames on the tire, its the meaning behind putting flames on a tire.

I'd be pissed if 2-32 of my tire came off in a week of standard driving.

What is a 30% performance increase? Pretty vague.

Wouldn't that be too perfect. I would buy a set in a second.

What if the RS3 clearly out performs the Kumhos, would you still not get them just b/c of some stupid flame that will quickly disappear?

Priorities for me buying a tire.

1. Dry Performance
2. Cost
3. Wet performance
4. Durability
5. Comfort & Noise
A distant #6 is appearance. If the tire performs fantastic, for the right price it could have little rainbows blazened on the sidewalls of a purple carcass for all I care. The flames are stupid. I hate to think who they are made to appeal to but I won't stop me if it's a great tire.

We just need more 15" sizes available. With the increase in motorsports popularity I think we might see that.

I could have "hello kitty" tires and my car would still have the most badass car on earth.

It amazes me that so many tires made specifically for high performance come in such crappy sizes. 15" Direzzas, Ecsta XS, and Azenis in nothing bigger than a 205? Do they not see all these people interested buying 15x7,8,9 inch wheels? It seems like there is so much money to be made but they're just oblivious. It's not just miata guys either, I know tons of Honda/Acura guys that would be all over some decent 225+/45/15s.

He's sold and is selling so many that hopefully something will come out of his talks with some tire manufacturers to get a decent 245 in 15 inches for a UHP street tire.

Add Nitto, BFG, Michelin and more. Many have true race tires in 205/50/15 or 225/50(45)/15 but don't make them for the street. So many of the new hot tires coming out are only 17" and larger that it makes me puke. The tire companies are just encouraging the asshats that run 18's, on cement block heavy wheels, when lightweight 15's would perform so much better.
