I just spent a whole bottle of propane on heating one of the long bolts. Then hammered on it while hitting it with my electric impact gun. It did not budge a bit. I am giving up on it and just saying that 20 years of MD rust has bettered me. Tomorrow I will be ordering new bolts and replacement lower control arms. Then hopefully get those installed when they come in. I am going to finish up a few other things on the car until then.

Probably for the best. I'm coating all my bolts with massive amounts of anti seize before they go back in hahah.

I've got a craftsman impact - it's not as strong as you'd think. It struggles getting lugs off sometimes. Have you tried the breaker bar yet?

I used a 5 foot pipe on the end of my breaker bar and it did absolutely nothing.

How do you plan to cut it?! It rusts to the inside part of the spindle/hub thing. So yea....

I plan on using a Sawzall. Really I am going to use an angle grinder and see if I can cut out the middle of the bolt where it is exposed. Then I will used a hammer and a chisel and brute force to maybe see if I can get the uncut parts out.
