..what do you guys pay for 4 Toyo R1R 225/45-15 mounted and balanced? (including hook-ups, discounts whatever)

I got quoted €620,- (cheapest). That's about $915,-

Now you can all laugh on how we get raped for tires over here

The amount I lol @ rape will be inversely proportional to the amount of KY Jelly included in the transaction.

Aren't the taxes, duties and regulations in europe fun! It only doubled the cost of your tires. Of course you do get gov't health care and legal hookers to balance it out.

Haven't been to the Netherlands in 15 years. Do me a favor and eat some ribs for me.

Joe Schmoe with no special hookups can get 225/45-15 R1Rs for $125 ea, so $500/set plus shipping plus mount & balance. Toyo occasionally runs rebates that will save you $50-100 on a set.

The same place that has R1Rs for $125 has NT01s in the same size for $113. In other news, I need a tire trailer.

****, not taking customs **** into account, I bet it would be cheaper to buy a set of R1Rs in the US rather than ordering over here. That is seriously fucked up

Say you went with Scott's price of $500 per set for the R1Rs. UPS, FedEx, and DHL quoted stupidly high international rates. I just shipped a set of tires through the US Postal Service to Texas since they are by far the cheapest (not considering Grayhound, which wasn't an option). Just glancing, their international rate would run $300 total for all 4 tires. That's $800 total for tires and shipping, excluding customs and all that fun stuff. Now if you can find the tires cheaper and find a cheaper shipping method, you'd be in even better shape. This is also considering that you are binding the tires in pairs as binding all 4 together causes an oversize issue.
