Default Looking for brake pad for track: Haws Black Track Vs. Porterfield R4 Vs. R4

Any suggestions? and anyone has experience with those pads?

Im looking for pad that I can drive to track. Im not driving my Miata on the street except on the track-day.

I was thinking Haws Black Track Vs. Porterfield R4 Vs. R4-1.
BTW, What's the difference between Porterfield R4 and R4-1?

Thx many!

No idea the difference between the two porterfields, but the R4 race pad will be hell on the way to the track. they squeak like crazy. Obviously not a big issue. Last I heard Hawk blacks eat rotors more than any other pad.

Check out the spread sheet I attached. I really wanted the carbotechs, but at the time $30 was a big deal. It's a little old BTW.

i love my s4's they do awesome i was getting real bad fade up front but since i put in the S4's and some of the nice FM slotted rotors my **** has been firm and consistent, the dusting is pretty copable, and i have no squeking etc. You definatley should look into them.
