Default NC 6 speed into NA?

I've searched and can't find this info. I have a line on a cheap one, and my guess is that it won't fit, but the seller insists that it will. Said he had it as a backup for his 1.6 car.

Anyone know if the bolt patterns are the same?

Edit: Scratch that, it's from an NB. Seller was confused.

As far as I know it's completely different and wont fit with bolt pattern, length, shifter location, etc. Make sure he's not referring to an NB transmission, or he's not confusing the fact that an NB 6 spd fits, not an NC.

NA and NB transmissions are completely interchangeable.

NC is not even remotely close. Might as well be a Toyota transmission.

Thanks guys, that's what I thought. The seller called his mechanic and was corrected in that it's from an NB. Will be picking it up tomorrow
