Default NC Underbody Transmission Skid Plate?

I'm new and find this forum great!👍 My question concerns a 2008 NC with automatic transmission. The car is stock to my knowledge as I'm third owner. The first oil change I had to remove a belly pan that prevents access to the oil filter. I put it back after the change. Subsequent changes have been done by several different garages. Months later the car was on a lift when I noticed the belly pan was gone. Since, I have checked all the garages and none admit leaving the skid pan off. Mazda does not show a skid pan for the transmission area on a 2008. I want to replace the skid pan. Does another year NC or other Miata have a skid pan under the transmission?

I confirmed the NC does have the skid pan protecting the transmission area. Weird that Mazda doesn't have it on their parts list. Any racers with full under body for their NC want to get rid of that stock skid pan?

Default My friend was wrong

My friend was wrong about having the belly skid plate. I'm convinced at this point it isn't OEM, but looking at images online of aftermarket underbody pieces I have found nothing resembling the piece I had. I can only conclude it was a limited production piece. Did Mazda ever have racing parts and if so where is the list found?
