Default New Tein Basis - anyone tried 'em?

I bought a second miata ('96) for my new daily ... or at least until the snow falls.

The OEM shocks aren't blown but I'd like to upgrade to something a bit more competent and get the *** end of the car down.

I bought some NB top hats for Alex but I'm mulling over suspension options. I blew my load buying Monoflex for my '90 (amongst other things) so I'd like to keep this set up <$700

A set of Koni's, Billy's, or Illuminas combined with springs costs pretty much the same as the Basis so I'm rather tempted to just go with the Tein's.

Any experience with these?

I was seriously pulling the trigger on these a week ago right before I found some used flex's locally.

From everything I read everyone is happy with them, though lots of people preferred revalved billies paired w/ gc over them....

only gripe I read about em is someone complaining of not being able to go low enough, which is a non-issue for 99% of us

Sounds like CR talk ...

It's my daily so I'm thinking NB hats combined with the adjustment will get me plenty 'low'.

I've been tracking my car for almost two years on a set of unknown-age Basics. No complaints at all, they've been a great setup for me to learn with. They are definitely a bit harsh on the street, but I have exactly zero experience with other Miata damper setups, so I have nothing to compare with.
