i could swap over the gt30 to the 13b and make a reliable 350hp would make the drivetrain 100x simpler

An engine and trans swap is way simpler than using the engine and trans designed for and already installed in the vehicle.

Even better. You're ready to go, you clearly don't need our advice. Get it done!

i was asking if i should do it, hoping someone knows what a 13b swaped miata is like. i never had a rotary before and im woried it will have 0 bottom end and wake up at like 7 k rpm which isn't what im going for.the only reason im considering this engine is because i recently got one really cheap and always thought a miata is like a baby rx7.

I got a free chevy 454 last week. I'm worried it'll have too much low end and nothing up top, which isn't what I want in my track Miata. But it was free and I've always thought of the Miata as a baby Cobra. I've swapped 1.8s on a Miata before, it's not that bad, so this should go well.

Pffft. Talk to me when you have a Packard V-1650 Merlin out of a P-51 Mustang.

i just don't understand why everyone is making fun of this idea. i'm going to swap the 13b into some car anyway and was considering a miata.
yes i do understand that rotary engines are now known to be reliable but this one is in very good condition and i know it will survive street driving.
if not a miata i will find another chasis and leave my miata as it is.

Wait but i thought you said it would be reliable at 350hp. Now you've never had one before? Please clarify.
