yes i do understand that rotary engines are now known to be reliable but this one is in very good condition and i know it will survive street driving.
if not a miata i will find another chasis and leave my miata as it is.
You're getting roasted because it's clear you've done absolutely no research and are asking a rather poorly thought out question.

Should I chicken swap my prosciutto panini?

i never do engine swaps so i can redline the car all day on the track. its all about learning new skills and having something to do in my free time.

Read some rotary swap build threads. Learn from the issues they came across, then you'll be able to ask better questions.

Don't do this swap for simplicity or reliable power as you won't get either of those. Do it because you want a rotary Miata if you have the skills.

if you wanna keep going on the way you are you might want one of these for the hole you're digging.

Thanks, im going to buy a cheap NB miata and swap it in there. will post updates. right now im finishing vr6 swaping my VW T3, once i finish that ill get to work.
Maybe reliable is the wrong term. i mean more of a weekend car, not something i would trust as a daily driver.

Unfortunately I just checked my crystal ball; you will never finish your VR6 swap. Dude that sucks, sorry.

Hold up. You don't even have the car?

Step one was: Post about something you'll never do on the internet? I understand if that's maybe Step 2 or 3... but that as Step 1 is a crazy flex. Respek.

He has a cheap NA, but he's going to buy an NB and put the rotary in it because he got the rotary cheap.

Try and keep up with the illogic.

The guy who did this is currently working on redoing a Monster Miata his dad bought. This is the same guy who designed the Eliminator series of Miatas.
Not everyone can wrench (or drive) as well as he can. A picture of one of his rotary swapped miatas is in one of the Tanner books from Flyin Miata.

It would either kill you or make you stronger.

Hole up. You've never had a rotary, or apparently even driving one and want your first to be a swapped car, that you did yourself, with an unknown engine? Great plan.

I say this as someone who unashamedly loves rotary engines and has spent some time around rotary miat'. this probably isn't the project you want. Rotary engines only exist these days for rotary die-hards. Its painful and expensive, but a labor of love. Go own an RX8 for a year and if you still think this is something you want to pursue, then take apart a miata for it.

What's the big fad about always asking about swaps/mods online instead of doing it or researching? If it's been done, "13b miata" will show results on google/youtube. If it hasn't, you have to pioneer it.
If you just want approval of strangers there's far less abrasive places to post about unresearched daydreams - try miata fanboy facebook groups.
If you've done full fab engine swaps before, the time you spent online asking for input on an unpopular swap and defending your logic with half-baked rhetoric about rotaries is completely wasted compared to sitting the car and engine side by side and thinking "how do i make this work?" and you should know that.
Maybe one project at a time? It seems you lack focus...or a focus, you should put a rotary in one of them instead. They're basically baby mustangs.

No question, do it. Great idea. You have it figured out. Practically drops right in, the 13B is so much smaller than the BP. I mean, it's a Mazda right. My friend built one and owned everybody. Totally awesome. Sold it a few years later and made bank. Fantastic. Can't wait to see this bad boy run.
Winning.
