Shock body is screwed in all the way. Upper spring perch has not been adjusted, guy i bought them from claims they are set to tein's specifications, I double checked the manual, to verify. My whole reason for asking this was that I thought the core where the lower shock body and the spring perch was one solid threaded rod, in which case adjusting the spring perch would change the preload of the springs but not the length of the coilover. I guess I didn't look close enough and was incorrect about that.

The manual numbers are wrong for a miata. To keep the piston relatively centered and equal travel in both directions, you will have to install and measure droop. I dont recall the magic number but it made a huge difference on my setup. I am not running them now. Maybe google tein flex droop and find your answer.

Remember to disconnect the sway bar when checking droop. The fronts arent as sensitive to proper droop but it doesnt hurt to check.

I got it all setup the way I wanted. I do appreciate the help. Final height is 11.75 front 12 rear.

Took the car out for the first time today (just got it registered). Very fun to drive! Megasquirt is in now (everything else stock) and the RC 550 injectors arrived today as well. Will be trying to learn how to navigate through the megasquirt interface a little today and hopefully have the car running well before I get started with the turbo installation.
