Wheel Hop on Launch
Hey guys, I've got a 95M with FM front sway, V-maxx classics, 225/45R15 RS-4's on 15x9 konigs, roll bar, and a turbo. Since I've turbo'd the car and had the power to spin the rear wheels, my sticky tires have caused pretty bad wheel hop on launching the car in 1st gear. I do not have a problem with my crappy A/S tires on the car. I do sometimes get a little bit of clutch chatter from perhaps putting too much grease on the tranny input shaft (though I thought i was conservative) after putting in an FM stage 1 clutch but think the hop is unrelated as it can happen even after clutch is fully engaged. Just put in new tires and coilovers + alignment but the problem persists. Making 185whp. Thoughts? Thanks in advance!
The wheel hop in my 90 is so bad(all oem bushings) with RSR's in 1st that I broke my rear diff mount on a launch. Either live with it or swap out all the bushings and live with the slightly increased NVH.
