Wish you weren't all the way on the left coast. I would love to run against you sometime. Love the looks of your car.
Jboogie I try to hit most of the events within a couple hours of Chattanooga. I run most of the TRSCCA, ETRSCCA, CRSCCA and TVSCCA events. And the plan this year is to run all the tours and pros within a 12-14 hour tow from Chattanooga.

Autox season just started up here so I finally got a chance to use my new 15x10 6UL's and 23x10.5x15 Avon bias-ply slicks.
We've run on 13" Hoosier cantilevers up until this year, but rules changed so we're now on the bigger tire/wheel setup. Worked pretty well, but I've got still got some adjusting to do both in setup and driving style.

Trying to recap now that I will be in the market for wheels after my 205s are used up.
NA fitment:
The poor man's fix is extremely large fender flares, but then the 15x10s will fit. Baller fix is a widebody fender kit? The downside/caveat for a person that still drives to the track is that only slicks come in a usable size.
This sound right or were there other modifications I missed? I know 5mm spacers and NB knuckles were thrown around, but I thought the large fender flares fixed everything.
Looks like I'm a 15x9 man :(

245/580-R15 Hoosier slicks
15x10 on left, 15x9 on right (both 6ULs)
Look at the sidewalls. Look at the tread profiles.
I am installing the requisite fender flares this weekend.

Looks like Hoosier added a R75 compound for extra stick in the 245/580/15 size.
I have run the R80 compound. Crazy grip through the first 5 heat cycles. Slight drop off after that. I corded them at 8 HC's from improper setup/care so no further info.
Friends that run the R100 compound claim consistent grip from sticker to cords. They are getting 18+HC's on a 2,600+lb mustang with proper rotation etc. I expect the Miata's to get 20+HC's.
I justify the expense of the stickies by the savings on fuel (E85), brakes and maintenance over my previous track car.

Thanks for the heat cycling info. I could live with 20 HCs as long as they do not fall off too much. I usually use NT-01s for my first session of the day (TT) when I am warming up. So 20 HCs, at 2-3 HCs a day, 4-6 a weekend, could last 4-5 weekends. I can live with that especially if I manage to win 1 or 2 tires.
