15x10 6UL @ 949 Racing
After several years of mulling it over, the 15x10 6UL is finally going into production. Demand is now sufficient to support a new LP cast tool and production run without the wheel costing too much.
Now Taking Orders for August 2011 shipment 15x10 13.5 lbs 4x100 +25, 6.45" back space VIA certified Clearance for 11.75" rotors and Wilwood DP6 calipers There are no street tire sizes available to fit these and probably never will be. These are a DIY, hacking fender open for flares, race slick only fitment. Visit the website, email or call us for questions about ordering. http://949racing.com/ProductImages/15x9_6ul_b_big.jpg |
Yesssssssss....Will 225's fit? I see on the site they're not listed but I know tons of guys with a stretch with tires that technically shouldnt be on the rim. Hoping they will work considering I dont want to street slicks and I'd rather have these over the 15x9s
|
so anybody know if my wife would be pissed if i bought a second set of 15x10's hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Gonna try to get some ordered |
Emilio, any thoughts on these being appreciably faster than the 15x9s? When I ordered my 15x8s you told me I should have gotten 15x9 for this reason. For a 225/45 R-comp is there a reason to run this over the 15x9, or is this to be considered more for the 275 crew?
|
What's needed for this to fit a first gen miata?

Explain this:
FYI: Goodyear will likely have a 275/3515 in their new Eagle RS in RC (road race) and AC (autocross) compounds by the end of the year. We don't offer tires, just letting you all know you have a new option. A street tire 275? |

Once again I'm sorely tempted to get a set.
Have the options for tires gotten any better? As much as I WANT to run 275 Hoosiers... I have a hard time rationalizing the cost/benefit for an open trackday format. Any nice street/track tires that are 245 or wider these days? |
Crap... There goes all my beer money.

15x10 FAQ
I know of no 245/40 or 275/35 street tires planned or otherwise.
Two companies are developing a 245/40/15 R compound (racing only) DOT radial tire. I can not tell you any more about those tires. Expect to have to do some surgery to your fenders to fit these. 949 Racing will not offer instructions or a fitment guide for the 15x10. It's 100% DIY. The 15x10 is not recommended for tires less than 245 section width. Assuming 245/40's or 275/35's the 10's will be measurably faster than the 9's. This has already been shown by the many CSP and Trackday cars that switched from our 9s to custom three piece 15x10's. |
Will a 15x10 6UL with 275/35/15 A6/R6s or the other DOT-Rs in the same size clear XIDAs on the inside without the use of spacers on a NA? How about other shock assemblies? What will hit first, the spring perch? The outside fender looks like an easy problem to solve with the appropriate tool(s).
Ditto for the DOT-R 245/40/15. I hate spacers. |

So when will there be more tires available for this wheel? I read other threads about the 245 becoming available but no as of yet.
|
My god. Awesome.
|
Finally...a set of wheels I can put my 195's on! I've been waiting years to one-up the CR people and this will be perfect!

First post! My question is... clearance aside, what tire size would you need to keep the same outer diameter as the stock tires?
