6UL wheels still cracking...

Let me clarify something here as I might have come on a bit hard on this issue. I understand that aluminum wheels can crack. I've read of some Konig wheels cracking. I don't necessarily think it's Konig's fault. The larger issue is the manner in which a wheel cracks, does it crack in one or two areas and when found you trash the wheel or does it fail spectacularly and disintegrate? If it's the latter, I'd expect the designer and seller to act as if they are concerned that there might be a potential problem. But that's just me.
Well, flow formed gives an almost forged aspect to the barrel of the wheel, which according to pics is the strongest part of the 6UL. So I can understand why someone might think it isn't a cast wheel It's only the center portion that's traditionally cast.
I'm not a wheel engineer and well make fun of me for posting some links but it seems as if there are no other wheel engineers here either.

It's a fact, albeit an incomplete one. Its well documented that they have a pressure cast center and a flow-formed barrel, which is a forging of sorts. Simply stating they are 'a cast wheel' is misleading, doubly so as it implies basic gravity casting, which the 6ul are not.
