15x9 with worn 225/45 NT-01's.

Fenders rolled flat- no spacers, no rubbing yet, but haven't been to the track or anything. I will be limiting steering lock to prevent some rub on the control arms.

Thanks... I think the rattle-can flat black hardtop helps ;)

ctdrftna 08-30-2016 03:54 PM

They are in the process as I type......no ETA yet though.

Ours are in stock, cheaper, lighter, better looking (lip!) and not a copy of someone else's design.

FWIW, FM gave up on the Jongbloed and is now the largest 6UL dealer in the world.

emilio700 08-30-2016 10:32 PM

ooo look, aren't they pretty?

And so light!

Shiny!

no offense, and your rims are clearly superior, but the jonglongdongs look better.

You're high.

and incorrect. Lip wins.

The 15x10 youngbloods look amazing. Dat concave. 6ULs look better in 8" and 9".

maybe?
I might believe that and second guess myself if so many other people I know didn't have exactly the same opinion. But who cares, there are plenty of wheels for us nowadays.

My guess is that many of the people that "love" 6UL's do so because of their performance/functionality, and their reputation in the community (you). Not because they genuinely think they're beautiful.

But again, I could be wrong cause looks are totally subjective. jonglongdong's look amazing. "that style" looks amazing.

When I was making a choice last time, I still didn't choose them though, and went with storms for the 3-5lb per corner weight difference. If I was to make a decision now between 6UL and Jonglongdong, I'd still choose the 6UL but dream of the jongdongs every night because they're so much sexier and look A M A Z I N G

*edit: it's like choosing a pretty chick that is smart and can cook over a smokin hot supermodel that sucks at everything else.

Emilio, I understand you own/ run 949 correct? Im building a time attack civic and your 15x11 wheels are my first choice for wheels to run the 275 hoosiers in the unlimited class. Now for the limited class ill be running 15x10 with 245 maxxis slicks. The problem is I run a 12.19 rotor with wilwood dynalights. These brakes fit im my current 15x9 Advanti storm wheels, but I really need to go to a wider wheel. Is there any way you can send me a Cad File of a 15x10 and 11? The other option would be I could laser scan a wheel but I dont know anyone with the wheels in that width. I can move the rotor inboard past the drop center of the wheel for extra caliper clearance. Im building a fully fabricated suspension setup, spindles, control arms, everything but the spring and damper.

Please let me know, Thruxton.

Downmented 08-31-2016 09:09 AM

lol, account made this month and asking 949 for their flagship wheel CAD file after only 2 posts.
hahahahaha

Yep, google my user name and youll find me on 100 other forums. He can so no, I pretty much expect that. If thats the case Ill find some wheels and laser scan them.

Truckinduc 08-31-2016 09:56 AM

Also Lots of Manufacturers provide models of their parts with the intent of design and fabrication around the part. You may think the cad model is all you need to rip off a wheel but the tooling investment is huge. Im just looking for a model to design my spindle and brake setup in.

I actually did google it, and was surprised. Seems legit. :dunno:

If you don't know the backstory to some of the 949 "clone" fiascos, then you might not see an issue with the request.

18psi 08-31-2016 12:04 PM

aint happenin hoss.
last time Emilio shared anything TR went and ripped off all his measurements and made competitor wheels with em. he was so mad I thought he would break the intewebz (and I would be too). He's still mad about it, like 8 years later. Just buy a set of his wheels :)
