Default Less than optimal traction?

Currently workin on my 1.6 turbo miata project. Will have a set of wheels for street and track. How bad would traction with 195/45 tires and say 180 whp be. Wondering if anyone here has had experiance with a similar setup.

If you are indeed slammed, as your username suggests, I don't think any tire of any size will help you very much.

What went through your head to decide that 195/45 T1Rs are a good idea if you're remotely concerned with traction?

You picked those tires because they stretch well, not because of their driving characteristics.
