Anyone have a bad 1.8 cat?
Need it for dimensions. Since I don't care if it's clogged, hollowed, has a hole in it, etc, I'm not expecting to pay $100 for it.
Thanks
Thanks
I have a used one from a 1.8 in the garage that I need to recycle. Are you interested in buying it for the recycle value plus shipping? When you are done with your measurements you can recycle it and get your money back.
Zoomin, I was hoping I could pick up a gutted one, but I understand what you're saying.
ZX-Tex, any idea if the scap yard will take just the broken up cores? I'd like to be able to keep the case.

PM'd
Thanks.
I'll probably end up picking up one of these gutted ones, but I'll call anyways just because I'm curious. I know they pay more for big engine converters, I assume because they have bigger cores, but they also pay more for OEM vs aftermarket and import vs American. Maybe it's becuase they have a higher content of these precious metals. No idea how they would tell what it came from if I took them dust & pieces.
Thanks.

Most of my local recyclers require a business license or a lot of paperwork due to recent theft issues. I was able to get a price from one of them for the "guts". Rate was $3.50/lb.
Not really worth my time/gas.
