gt2560r / s15 turbo used
depends, just looking around weighing options, your build is actually the reason i made this post, my compressor is too damn small. How would you say your spool is?
Trickle down turbonomics here, as I'm pretty sure my recent posts are why SimBa is looking heavily at the PSR2860 again.
And the 2560 is a great choice for a stock block. Can't beat it on spool and you can max out a stock block on it easily.

I don't have much to compare it to, but it seems to spool pretty quickly. Pretty much anything over 3K in the right gear and it goes.
I've been thinking about moving to a 2860 for a while now to make some more power (Fire's recent upgrade hasn't made the itch go away any). On E85 I've got this turbo pretty well maxed out around 260-270 whp. The 2560 is probably one of the most common (if not the most common) turbo's you'll see on here for good reason.
I actually got the one on my car used from Watterson a while back. IIRC He bought it new in 2019 and probably put around 30K miles on it or so? I've done another ~5-10K on it.

Sorry to flip flop, but after thinking about it more and looking at the timeframe for shipping the new turbo and such I think I'm just going to hold onto it.
I do have a "parts" 2560 laying around that I remembered about. I'd need to pick through my boxes because I know I robbed some parts from it when I threw the new turbo on, but if that's of interest to you I can look at it later and get a better idea.
That turbo failed and will need a new CHRA. There is some scoring on the compressor housing where it rubbed. It is an older 2560 and there are some small differences between it and the turbo that's on my car currently.
