Default WTB: Blown up 6spd Transmission

Well, not the entire transmission, just the tail housing. Somehow, my tail housing cracked and I need to replace it.

I'm looking for part number 17-330 in the attached picture. Has to be a 6spd tranny.

Send me a price shipped to 40023.

That's just impressive. You still running a ppf? Can't remember. Maybe you just need a BMW trans.

No PPF. Tranny mount bushing failure caused the problem. One the bushing failed, the tranny could move up and down with every shift. I have since changed to a Delrin bushing.

BTW, I found a tail housing, so I’m good for now.

Thanks! Hopefully I don’t need anything, but great to have options.

Make sure you get the correct one. The 99-00 and the 01+ have different tail shaft housings. The 01+ housing has a detent in it for the shifter control rod. The 99-00 do not.

I should be good. Mine is a 2004 MSM tranny and the one I found is out of a 2003.
