WTB starter bracket (1.8) -Picture inside
This bracket that holds the starter to the block, In the picture it is using a 1.6 bracket on it. Im looking for the correct bracket for a 1.8

All manual NAs used the same plate B61P-10-901A
All manual NBs used the same revision of the NA plate* B61P-10-901B
B61P-10-901B supersedes and replaces the -A revision. $33 new at your local dealer.
If memory serves, both are identical except -B will allow you to bolt up a starter for either 5 or 6 speed. If you have an incompatibility, it's possible that you have an auto plate and need a manual plate.
*except MSM: BP8J-10-901 I am unsure of the difference, but the MSM piece is $10 less. Probably will direct swap and save some money.
