I think I have a problem with my stock 1.6 ECU as a result of my BMW VTPS install on my parallel MS (see thread here). Anyone got a manual trans 1.6 ECU (California or not will work) I can buy cheap? Shipping would be to 32259. Let me know!

I drove home with the TPS disconnected as someone suggested and it definitely helped at part throttle, but my idle was sketchy so I think the ECU is definitely the culprit. I also popped the lid and checked it out and there are some obviously overheated components. Thanks again and let me know if there is anything I can help out with!

Looks like rharris already took care of you (he's done the same for me before), but I have one available from a '92 1.6L manual that I will send out for free if anyone else reads this and needs one.

Just an update. I got the ECU last night and installed it and it fixed the problem! Thanks to everyone (especially rharris19) for the offers to help. I will definitely be sure and do all I can to help out any folks I can. You guys are great!
