So you guys are all in NM as well, eh? I'm assuming you went to motiva speedway (or whatever they are calling it now days) ?
I'm definitely going to have to plan to meet up with you guys and turn some laps.

I noticed a rattling sound after the last race. I had to do prep anyway for the next event, so I inspected everything closely and found a few surprises.
I found that two of the AC bracket screws were missing and two of them were broken.
I bought an angle drill from the local HarborFreight. Dewalt titanium drill bits and screw extractors. (The HF drill is total win BTW).
The upper screw came out easily. The lower one was frozen in place and would not come out after letting it soak overnight. Even though I had a good grip on it with the extractor, I feared that it might break and I decided to drill it out and tap it.
With the AC bracket re-installed, I still heard the rattle. I then found this.
I was lucky to find the bolt sitting on the turbo flange.
I removed the coolant fitting and re-installed the bolts with Locktite and all is well. Looks like I'll be using more Locktite from now on.
I also got this for my next project.

I had a blast at the last track day at ASR. The car ran flawlessly the whole day. I finally mounted the cam on my helmet.
This first video is when I was chasing a friend in his supercharged Miata to see his lines on the track. His Miata is a '90 with a 1.6 and M45 supercharger with TDR intercooler. His car makes about 200WHP.
This next video is my fast timed lap. I ran 1:19.1
After the race, we were doing burnouts on the strip for kicks.

It's been a while but time marches on. I made a few changes since the last post.
My last AC heatshield cracked, so I made another one from silicone wrapped in aluminum with fiberglass insulation.
I tried to dyno the car on a Dynojet but the clutch slipped on the dyno, so I changed the clutch disk and swapped the transmission to a spare that I had that was newer. Here is how far I got before the clutch slipped. It slipped at 4K RPM.
The Forge wastegate actuator also failed. the actuator shaft threaded out of the housing and the threads were worn so I swapped in the stock EFR actuator. I also figured out the EBC settings and now have it working to my satisfaction. I initially had the EBC settings bleeding boost early then holding boost late and it felt like the turbo spooled late as if I had a big turbo. The turbo now holds boost early on then bleeds late.
The last trackday was a blast. I raced all day with max boost at 23 PSI. The damn car felt like a drift machine. The concept of too much power does exist as it was a challenge to put the power down and control it. I am a bit rich (11ish) at the top end, but will retune for this amount of boost at the next dyno session.
Here are some vids:
First session before adjusting EBC, you can hear the boost bleed early with a fluttering sound.
Night time attack. My headlights are crap. You can see me flipping high and low beams to try to see more of the track:
Boost gauge video to show boost response:
Edit: If the videos don't show or say "unavailable" click on the youtube icon to view in youtube. They should be available when processing is completed.

I was using a ACT HD with the ACT street disk. I installed it when I had the supercharger, so it's old. The new ACT sprung 6-puck break in procedure is a few hard slips to lap the surface and then you are good to go.
"For organic street discs, we recommend breaking in the clutch for 200-300 miles with mild engagement such as stop-and-go city driving prior to racing or spirited driving. ACT race discs usually only require a few hard slips to lap in the surfaces prior to normal driving or racing. Do not overheat the clutch during the break in period." - FAQ // Advanced Clutch Technology
Edit: Looks like the first two videos are dead. :/ I'll reupload them this evening.

My 6 puck is brutal. If I'm careful I can slip it perfectly, but in parking lots, lots of stop and go I hate life/am embarrassed. Mostly from the clutch chatter when I pull from 1st poorly. I don't want to do it, but it seems to like a very fast 2-2.5k rev clutch dump. Pulls away perfect when I do it like that!
Down the road I'll probably resurface the flywheel and see if that helps. Looks smooth Ari! Mind posting your EBC settings? Trying to dial mine in and need a good comparison.
