You are going to need some serious front aero to work with that wing.

Solid progress man, I'm jealous of your access to paint.

Thanks!
I already have a sheet of Alumalite purchased to make a splitter. The projects are starting to pile up. I have the splitter, new brake discs, new brakes and brake ducting to do, but I can't take the car apart yet. I have a dyno session scheduled for this Friday. I'll finally see what power the car makes at 24PSI.

Any guesses as to how much?
315 @ 12PSI
323 @ 14PSI
xxx @ 24PSI

Hopefully not shrapnel! I'm gonna go with 400.

IIRC he's already run at or near 24lbs at the last few Time Attack events, everything's holding up just fine.

I'd say 355whp as you are already pretty close to the right side of that compressor map. Do you have a rpm sensor on that EFR?

I have no RPM sensor in my EFR. Stock is right, I've been running for a while and have raced a few events at this boost level for a while. This dyno session is to ensure longevity and to see how much power its making.

400 probably isnt happening on the 6258 with regular gas, 370 would be what I'd expect. 355 is kind of on the low end, probably only going to end up with that if the tune is very conservative or if the motor is hurt, or californian gas.

We're a 91 Octane region.

The 4k rpm point can probably get moved to 25 or 27psi and the 6k moved down to like 20psi.

Now that I have EBC it reaches 24psi very quickly. It can boost more if I run all of it. I played with it once and have seen it boost above 26PSI. It was scary fast.

Winning!

Next step is to get Comrade Soviet to do the same with his 6758, then Ryan_G and BoostedSmurf with the 7163.

That turbo based on the map can move maximum 44lbs, that's around 440hp. Now you are running that turbo to the **** at those numbers. I can see the car gaining torque at the low end by upping the boost, not sure if that torque will carry over to the upper rpm's for 400hp. 94 Octane it might see 370whp, potentially over-spinning the turbo. Not sure if I would drive around like that on a daily basis. You are sitting on the edge of bad surge!

You dont get surge for pushing off the right side of the compressor map. you just run out of flow and the thing chokes up, you stop gaining boost and start loosing power as you increase the wastegate duty cycle. You only get surge for going left of the surge line, and thats pretty hard to do without a weird compressor-turbine mismatch, anti-lag, or anything else abnormal.

One day I plan to run all of it on my v-band 6758 just for you gays. That is after I build a fancy manifold for it.

Surge was the wrong word, I stand corrected. But you do over-spin the turbine which is not good either. In addition to rapid drop of efficiency, the spins are possibly going beyond the limits of the unit. It is an EFR, so I am sure it is designed to take it but it goes back to why I said 355whp!
